			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> This was inspired by many other DIY ring flashes (especially versions by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7914635@N03/1470037207/">haydensimons</a> &amp; <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/discuss/72157603367417901/">noid</a> from the <a href="http://www.strobist.com/">Strobist</a> forum.  So what is a ring flash?  It&#8217;s a light modifier that provides shadowless light and looks great in certain lighting situations.</p>
<p>My goal with this one was to keep it light-weight and easy to build.  I might&#8217;ve skipped some steps, but it&#8217;s a simple concept and can be changed for different flash sizes.  I found that if you use your camera to see the light path on the posterboard, you can design the ringflash to better utilize the light spread, saving wasted light.</p>

<p>See how nice and even the ringflash lights?  It creates wonderful 3d-ish lighting.</p>

<li>large white poster board ($1 at wal*mart)</li>
<li>white (or black) duct tape</li>
<li>copy paper</li>
<li>elmer&#8217;s glue</li>
<li>scissors &amp; exacto knife</li>
