June 21st, 2008 — Pa’auilo, Big Island of Hawaii
New York couple married in the tiny quaint town of Pa’auilo (population 568). It was such a perfectly beautiful day!

For the techies: Canon 580EXII flash into a small shoot-thru umbrella held by Bev at camera right. It would’ve looked fine with 100% natural light too, but adding some light helps give their faces definition. I just love this photo of them.
In the dressing room…

Irena was such a beautiful bride.

The Bride & Groom got ready in the same house, *almost* running into each other…

Peter’s Mother sees that he is wearing her father’s cuff links. I’m so glad Bev was able to capture this moment.

Father & Son. Peter is such a gentle caring man.

No shoes allowed in the Buddhist ceremony.

The ring bearer and flower girl were the cutest!!!

Immediately after the ceremony…

We went exploring around the small town…

There really was not much around, but there was a small feed store with so much character!

Beautiful flowers by The Flower Shop at Hapuna.

At the reception… don’t you love the colors?

The food was AMAZING. Prepared by Aloha Monday Catering.

Speeches were great fun and touching.

Special thanks to my dear wife Bev who helped me shoot all day and night. Irena & Peter, thank you for letting us in for your beautiful wedding.
