Aloha James, I just so happened to stumbled on to your site while searching for info on scholarship too the U,H of hilo for my niece in kona, there was a link about photos so clicked on that and brought me to your site, I'd like to say that you take very pleasing, soft, and very moving shots, and all in the realm of keeping it natural, that's the kind of shooting I also prefer too shoot, a little out of the box. I just purchased my first "Big" camera... a 40D canon, I had a point and shoot for several yrs and decided time to step-it up a notch just for my hobby, I'm currently taking night classes for beginners at a High school, I currently like to take action (Ocean Sports) shots, Landscapes, Sunsets and structures, I am lost when taking portraits so I don't really feel comfortable taking people, the instructor does not take people so he said that he wont teach us that subject. You must be really comfortable with yourself taking weddings, they are a "once in a lifetime deal" "No re-takes" but they look awesome, I someday would like to have the confidence and knowledge that you have to get out there and take some pictures of people, Hey! thanks for the "DIY" tip on the ring flash, now I can try and make myself one so I can save some money for other equipment, wow the good stuff cost a lot of money! Well keep-up the good work and thanks for inspiring me just a little bit more into taking people pics!
