Bev & I went cruising up Mauna Kea for some photo fun. I wanted to get some good landscapes. The problem was that it was so hard to take photos with no people in it! Lucky thing we brought our wireless triggers too.
♥

We were able to see a sunset at the top (it was 37 degrees F up here!)…

… and a moonrise while driving down.

So awesome! We’re so blessed to live on the Big Island.
Bev and I will be attending the WPPI Convention at MGM Grand Vegas this year and we leave for Vegas this Saturday!! We just can’t wait! It will be a week of learning, networking, researching and FUN.
Things I want to accomplish while there:
- Listen to and meet as many speakers/photographers as I can. Being on the Big Island can feel very isolating. It will be such a blessing to be able to meet and learn from all these other great photographers.
- See the latest products from vendors which will help with photography.
- Check out every album vendor to see in person their albums and choose one to use. I’d like to upgrade to a more high-end album vendor for my clients.
- Have a lot of quality time with Bev. This is my highest priority since we’ve both been so busy with weddings recently and hardly have any time for ourselves.
Can’t wait!!!
Update: We just shot two awesome weddings this past weekend and we can’t wait to post some of the highlights.
Please check back soon!
We are shooting a wedding this weekend at the Grand Wailea! It’s totally beautiful here and we sooo can’t wait for the wedding.
Maui really lives up to it’s name “The Valley Isle”.
Photos below are taken with the new Panasonic LX3 p&s camera. Not bad for a small little camera huh??

Of course, we had to go to Krispy Kreme! hehee

April 5th, 2008 — Downtown Hilo, Big Island of Hawaii

This family is loaded with fun! Nice break from wedding stuff, especially when you have little bundles of energy like this (taken by bev)…

We also got to watch the annual Merrie Monarch parade.

We will be shooting more tomorrow at the beach with this family so check back soon!
I’ll also post more from the parade.
