January 6th, 2009, Kailua-Kona, Big Island of Hawaii
Here are a few of our favorites. We did not have much sunlight to work with after the ceremony, but that was not a problem! We love working at night and had the opportunity to experiment with some new lighting techniques.

Leah was glowing as we arrived at the ceremony site.

We loved this location for dusk shots!

Leah & Mike, we really enjoyed hanging out with you and your family/friends! Thank you for sharing the day with us.

Yes, that’s heavy rain in Kona. Their wedding was very blessed!

So calm and serene…

Until…

Jenelle, I’m sorry I just kept shooting, but aren’t these photos worth it???
And Eric, you are such a gentleman and have super reflexes!

Jenelle and Eric, thank you for letting us share in your beautiful day. We loved your wedding and hanging out with the both of you!
The new year sure started off well. We’ve shot two weddings this past week and both were so beautiful!
A full blog will be posted very soon for each of these weddings, but for now, here are just a couple teasers. :)

Earlier this month, photographer friends Rachel (Merge Weddings) and Amy (Ardent Photo) flew far ways over for a visit to the Big Island. We all went on a fun hike/photoshoot down the Onomea Donkey Trail through a rainforest. I always dreamed of doing a bridal shoot here, so this was the perfect opportunity. It’s just magical and so much fun shooting along side such talented wedding photographers.
Kanoe, a beautiful local model was willing to join us on such short notice. She did an amazing job.

Shooting just for fun really is refreshing. Thank you Kanoe!
