Hanging out with the groom, his brother and bride’s brother, Sammy. Sammy is also a talented professional photographer. I want to thank him here for being a great help throughout the day!

The wedding was held at a quaint old-style house built in the late 1800’s, right outside of Hilo town on a cliff edge. It was a such a beautiful location! The bride’s father held a touching ceremony.

Beautiful authentic Hawaiian music was being played.

Bev took this awesome ring shot!

The night was perfect. Stars were so bright and there was not one cloud in the sky. Not very common for Hilo.

Marlene & Kawika, thank you for letting us capture your beautiful wedding. Congratulations!

Lush green vegetation, beautiful mountain streams, and some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. These are some of the many reasons why I love living in Hilo, and also shooting weddings here!

Rebecca was beautiful and one of the most laid-back brides ever!

Sterling is into mixed martial arts… though it looks like he need more practice! Rebecca wins with a rear naked choke hold.

After shooting Wilma and Matt’s engagement session, we were really looking forward to their wedding. They are both such a cool laid-back couple from Ka’u.
30 minutes before the wedding, Matt and his boys “almost” ready.

Kimberly and Chris are talented photographers, so you can imagine how honored we were when asked to cover their wedding. It was a little intimidating… Chris is a seasoned commercial photographer and Kimberly runs her own wedding photography business Kimberly Kay Photography. Chris also helps Kimberly shoot weddings and they do beautiful work together. Even Kimberly’s sister is a professional wedding photographer! Man, luckily they were all very down to earth and super friendly/cool… it was so easy to work with them.

Not often do you see guests carrying a 5D + 85 1.2 lens! *drool*

We ran off to get some intimate portraits…

Kimberly & Chris, thank you so much for trusting us for your special day. Also, thank you for treating us like guests. We had a great time at the Lu’au… and the food was so ono! We hope to see you at WPPI!
