Nila & Pavel Wedding
August 14th, 2008 — Captain Cook, Big Island of Hawaii
Such a sweet intimate wedding in one of the most beautiful places.
Could this location get any better? The ceremony and reception was held at the Kealakekuha Hale.
The beautiful ceremony, ministered by Pastor Keith Elliott of Aloha Kiss. A really nice man all-around.
True local style — they found this guy on the beach nearby. The best kind of entertainment. 
This bridesmaid was a wonderful singer!
Catering by Big Jake’s Island BBQ. The brisket and ribs were SO good as well as everything else. The cobbler for desert was amazing. Big Jake was here himself and I could tell he puts a lot of pride into his food. Highly recommended!

Shanti & Pablo Wedding

After shooting Shanti & Pablo’s engagement photos back in March, we were so looking forward to this wedding! Such a fun, warm and laid-back couple.

I’m a finalist, vote!
I am in a state of shock, seriously! I never am this close to winning anything, let alone a contest with such HUGE names involved.
1) The Becker, I mean, the actual [b]ecker is helping with judging by choosing 4 finalists and then letting his blog readers choose. He has helped me tremendously in starting out my wedding photography business with his [b] school blog. He’s a true mentor to me and one day I will thank him personally for all he has done for me.
2) Jose Villa is generously providing the prize with the opportunity to shoot a wedding with him! I’ve admired his work in all the wedding magazines I’ve read and never ever dreamt of being able to shoot with him. He is like only one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world! Man… I am nervous if I do actually win now.
